The WillowFaded fingers caress the willow’s hardened hand, moist from the weeper’s gentle tears. Eye to eye, the elders gaze, one’s face of bark, the other’s of flesh, both lined with the carvings of age. A breeze dances in, playing with the woman’s gray wisps of hair, though only for a moment. As the wind moves on to tease the tree’s lush locks of green, it whistles and sings with the rustle of leaves, before making its exit, having finished its dance. NotesThe notebook sat on a small, wooden table in the corner of his kitchen, just shy of the lone window’s sliver of sunlight. Underneath the black cover, loose-leaf papers dangled from the notebook’s damaged binding, metal coil misshapen. Alone, the book rested, calm in its solitude. The book’s was the only spot free of the dust, which forever glazed the surrounding surface. There, the notebook had lived and aged, in the forgotten corner that was its home.

Sheets of cool water cascaded down onto the earth below, turning the grass beneath his feet to mush, the soil to gurgling mud, his hair to a soggy mop. The booming thunder and lightening of the previous night weren’t yet evident, but the storm bordered dangerously close to that point. Assisting the rain, an icy gale swept through, sending chills up the returning surgeon’s spine. His skin was a shade whiter than usual, and it was saturated and slick. An Ardent Arrhythmia - Ch. 3Pein walked down one of the hospital’s many hallways, his hands in his pockets and his eyes set straight ahead. His expression was the picture of absolute composure. Even the many facial piercings he adorned were unable to compromise his professional appearance. A brief meeting with his supervisors had guaranteed that the coldly persuasive specialist’s jewelry choices would go unbothered. His soft shoes were soundless against the polished floor, as he made his way through the crowded corridor.

So I haven't really updated much lately. Especially my journal, which I haven't had much to say in for months. But I figured it was high time to post a new journal and tell you guys what's been up.

First off, I know I haven't posted much writing as of late. I thought I'd be able to get more written and post more often, but it hasn't been so. I haven't had much access to the computer, which is one of my sole writing tools. And when I do, it's rarely at a time I feel able to write. My pre-existing problem with procrastination doesn't help much, either. I'll be working on new stuff, though, so expect that soon. Just have to transport my work from paper to Microsoft. Some poetry, some chapters, and I'm hoping to start some longer prose as well. Looking forward to writing and submitting, hope you guys'll read and enjoy.

As for life beyond writing, it's all been going relatively well. School's about average, not much new there. Almost over, though, and I guess I'm looking forward to the summer. As long as I find something interesting to occupy my time over it, that is. So life in general is pretty okay. Aside from the fact that I lost all my school stuff today - left them in someone's car. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it back tomorrow, or else I doubt I'll be posting anything for a long while, considering all the work included in the lost items. But I'm sure it'll turn out fine. With any luck.

Well, I don't have much more to say, so I'll leave things at that. Just thought I'd give some updates and let everyone know I'm still alive and active. And writing still. Drop a comment if you'd like, haven't really talked to most of you in a while, and certainly wouldn't mind doing so. Otherwise...well, until next time. Later~

So sorry for not replying to your last post~ Totally slipped my mind until I saw this one.

It's been going pretty well, thanks for asking. Been quite uninspired lately though, which is why I haven't finished your request yet. And I'll read your poetry the moment I get a chance.
