The WillowFaded fingers caress the willow’s hardened hand, moist from the weeper’s gentle tears. Eye to eye, the elders gaze, one’s face of bark, the other’s of flesh, both lined with the carvings of age. A breeze dances in, playing with the woman’s gray wisps of hair, though only for a moment. As the wind moves on to tease the tree’s lush locks of green, it whistles and sings with the rustle of leaves, before making its exit, having finished its dance. NotesThe notebook sat on a small, wooden table in the corner of his kitchen, just shy of the lone window’s sliver of sunlight. Underneath the black cover, loose-leaf papers dangled from the notebook’s damaged binding, metal coil misshapen. Alone, the book rested, calm in its solitude. The book’s was the only spot free of the dust, which forever glazed the surrounding surface. There, the notebook had lived and aged, in the forgotten corner that was its home.

Once again, I find myself writing a journal to apologize and explain my lack of recent activity. It's been a rather uninspiring past few months, and I haven't accomplished much writing that would suit being posted here. With luck, that will change soon. I've just posted a poem I wrote, which I hope will be the start of many near updates. That being said, I'd also like to clarify that I'd like to begin focusing on my original prose and poetry. That doesn't necessarily mean I'll be ditching fanfiction entirely, just that it won't be my main concern for the moment.

I'd also like to apologize to anyone who I have neglected to reply to, in a comment or otherwise. When I fall into a state so uninspired, I tend to neglect replying as well. So, sorry, I guess. I'm trying to get back on this site more. I'm trying to write more as well, for that matter.

Anyway, I'd like to thank my remaining readers for their patience. I know I'm horrible when it comes to updating consistently. I figure I've lost more than a few people by going into these periods of inactivity. So, I'll work on that.

In other news, school has started again. Did so a bit ago, actually. Usually, that means excuses for my not doing any creative writing, but it's actually better than the summer when it comes to that. At least during school the activity can serve as a sources of inspiration. And I'm hoping to help with the school literary magazine thing this year, among other extracurricular activities. It's actually looking to be an interesting year so far. But, we'll just see how that turns out.

Well, that's all I have for now. The next update should come considerably sooner than this one did. So, until then, stay well and healthy, keep safe, have fun, maybe check out my new poem, and keep supporting the arts.

Yeah, well, the summer has thrown my sleep schedule way off. My summer has been pretty okay so far. I agree, it does seem to be moving too fast. I've been to the beach, and might be doing some other stuff, but it hasn't been overly eventful. And how has yours been going?
